When I was in the field on Monday and Tuesday the loan officers were very skeptical about going out because of the persistent fuel shortages.
Well I made it back to Kasungu! I just arrived late this afternoon. I took a bus from Lilongwe and the ride seemed never ending. The lack of fuel is really bad! Trucks and cars are pulled over along the roads and it is awful. The bus stopped for an hour to get a black market fuel fill up.
At the stop, a bunch of the passengers exited the bus to go to the bathroom so I joined in. When I came back everyone was hooting and hollering! It was hilarious!
